Overview
Amid summer wildfires, an Estacada resident reported lingering haze indoors; we devised a char and soot sampling plan that proved infiltration through vents, supporting their claim for insurance-covered filter upgrades, soot removal and sealing of all painted interior surfaces with odor blocking primer and repaint.

We were able to recommend adjustments in furniture placement to generate airflow at the inside of exeterior walls, as well as suggestions on vapor barrier improvement during a planned siding replacement project.

Overview
Healthy Home received a call from a homeowner in Medford compaining of health concerns she felt were associated with being in the home. After a thorough mold investigation, it was determined that excessive organic growth was present in the gasket of her front load washing machine. The room had a strong musty odor, which was isolated to the gasket. We provided instructions on how to prevent this issue in the future through simple housekeeping steps.

Overview
A Eugene homeowner called for asbestos testing prior to the start of a home renovation project. A comprehensive asbestos survey was conducted to represent all suspect building materials within the home. The wall textures were found to contain asbestos above the regulatory threshold. Healthy Home assisted the homeowner in arranging with a licensed asbestos abatement contractor to handle the materials safely.
