Overview
Healthy Home tested for lead in a Portland bungalow’s door frames and sills before a full repaint job, finding elevated levels in older layers. We counseled the owners on using EPA-certified painters who follow dust-minimizing techniques during the work.

Overview
A Redmond homeowner called Healthy Home prior to a renovation of their home for asbestos and lead testing. A limited asbestos and lead-based paint inspection was completed to represent the materials that were to be impacted by the work. The materials were all found to contain no lead or asbestos, assuring the homeowner that the work could safely be conducted while they still remained in the house during construction.

Overview
An Ashland homeowner called us with concerns over smoke damage to the interior of their house due to wildfire activity in the vicinity. Healthy Home developed a sampling strategy for surface sampling for combustion byproducts typically associated with wildfires, and were able to demonstrate to the insurance company that the likely source of the smoke odors throughout the house were from wildfire smoke intrusion.
