Overview
A Bend homeowner contacted Healthy Home for asbestos and lead testing because Deschutes County required testing before issuing permits. We were able to respond quickly and provide them the documentation required to secure their permits, and to provide information to the contractor about the lead and asbestos content of the materials they were to impact so they could get the materials properly removed by a licensed contractor.

Overview
A Grants Pass homeowner called Healthy Home prior to a renovation of their home for asbestos and lead testing. A limited asbestos and lead-based paint inspection was completed to represent the materials that were to be impacted by the work. None of the materials sampled contained asbestos, but the paint on the drywall walls in the areas to be impacted contained lead above the EPA/HUD regulatory threshold. Healthy Home provided guidance to the homeowner to select licensed renovation professionals who implement lead-safe work practices to keep the occupants safe during the project.

Overview
An Eugene homeowner contacted Healthy Home due to concerns over occupant health following the installation of new carpeting. The family reported headaches and irritation. We conducted an indoor air quality investigation, including VOC sampling, and were able to assure the homeowner that the air quality was within established parameters after ventilation recommendations.
